«Hinc Tomyris Crassum male multat»: nota a Naldo Naldi, carm. var. VI 121-138

In questa nota viene proposta l’analisi di un breve episodio che si legge nel carme ‹De virtute› (carm. var. 6, 121-138) del poeta fiorentino Naldo Naldi (1439-1513), relativo alla figura di Marco Licinio Crasso, fin dall’antichità e, poi, nel Medioevo e nell’Umanesimo, tipico exemplum di insaziabile avidità e di avarizia punita. This note proposes the analysis of a short episode that can be read in the poem ‹De virtute› (carm. var. 6, 121-138) of the Florentine poet Naldo Naldi (1439-1513), relating to the figure of Marco Licinio Crasso, since Antiquity and then, in the Middle Ages and Humanism, a typical exemplum of insatiable greed and punished avarice.

Esito della contaminazione del modello dantesco con innumerevoli altre fonti - dalla letteratura odeporica a quella utopica, dalla prosa religiosa alla poesia burlesca – gli Inferni (1553) di Anton Francesco Doni rappresentano un’opera irriducibile ad un genere predefinito, aperta al gioco intertestuale e all’interazione fra testo e immagini. In una prosa eccentrica e originale, frutto della sua sensibilità manieristica, lo scrittore cinquecentesco ci consegna infatti una potente allegoria della condizione umana, uno specchio rovesciato del mondo come la luna ariostesca, brandendo la penna come una spada per smascherare – tra moralità e ironia – le menzogne della società del tempo.

This article analyzes in a historical context the earliest evidences of Dante’s influence on Catalan culture during the reigns of Kings Peter IV, John I and Martin of Aragon, until the interregnum (1410-12) and the change of dynasty resulting from the Compromise of Caspe (1412). In the year 1903 Manuel de Montoliu published the first Catalan version, in prose and poetry, of "La Vida Nova", which meant an important stage within the history of pre-Raphaelitism and modernism in Catalonia. In this article the first Dantesque influences in the poetic production of the translator will be detected, the stage of preparation and of presentation of the text will be analysed and, finally, the article will study the progressions that the exegesis of Dante's work determines in Montoliu's thought. El martirio de los diez mil : Dante en la pintura de Vittore Carpaccio

Vittore Carpaccio, hacia 1515, nos ofrece la crónica visual del suplicio de los diez mil mártires en el monte Ararat que ya quedó relatada en martirologios carolingios. En alguno, como el de Usuardo, impreso en Venecia para esta fecha podemos encontrar la fuente literaria de la composición. El relato repara en la batalla, en la victoria y en el martirio al que fueron condenados, también en la divina promesa de la resurrección, aspecto este último que no encontramos en otras representaciones del tema, y que Carpaccio nos ofrece siguiendo la arquitectura cósmica que propone Dante en su Comedia. Mistä helvetin visuaaliset rakenteet tulevat? Helvettiä kuvaavia teosaiheita on useita, mutta kuinka yhtenäinen niiden esittämä visuaalinen helvetti on? Tulevatko visuaalisen helvetin rakenteet Raamatusta? Pro Gradu -tutkielmani lähtökohtana on oletus, että visuaalinen kristillisen helvetin kuvaaminen kumpuaa kirjallisista lähteistä, erityisesti Raamatusta. Toinen keskeinen oletus on, että Dante Alighierin (1265-1321) Jumalaisen näytelmän ensimmäinen osa, Helvetti on merkittävästi laajentanut kristillisen helvetin visuaalista kuvastoa.
